Wickford Walk Walking Tour

The Wickford Walk is a self-guided historic walking tour through Wickford Village, Rhode Island, highlighting its rich maritime, cultural, and architectural history. Starting at Updike Park, the tour covers 13 markers featuring Indigenous settlements, shipbuilding, influential women, historic homes, black heritage, and local legends. Visitors explore stories of early settlers, seafaring trade, and the founding of the village while walking past preserved colonial buildings and scenic coves. The tour, created by Historic Wickford Inc., celebrates and preserves the village’s unique legacy.
